Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Salket is a business communications app made by Zootric LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Salket apps or visit salket.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.
Words defined in our Terms of Service mean the same here.
Questions or requests: privacy@salket.com.
2. Our role
For your account, Zootric LLC is the "controller" of your personal information. That means we decide how and why it is used.
For the people you talk to. When a business uses Salket to call or message its own customers or contacts, that business decides who to contact and what to say. For that communication content, the business is the controller and we process it on the business's behalf, under our Terms of Service. If you are one of those contacts and want to exercise your rights, contact the business first. We will help them respond. You can also contact us at privacy@salket.com.
3. What we collect
| Category | What it includes | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account data | Email address, phone number, name, profile picture (avatar) | You |
| Team and membership data | Which accounts you belong to, your role, who invited you | You and your team |

| Call records | Numbers called and calling, times, durations and prices | Created when you use Salket |
| Messages | The content of SMS messages you send and receive, and of WhatsApp messages once that feature is available, stored so your inbox can show them | You and the people you message |
| Call recordings | Only if we add a call-recording feature and you turn it on. Today, Salket does not record calls | You, if enabled |
| Regulatory documents | Identity documents, business documents and addresses that a country requires before it will issue a Number | You |
| Emergency address | The address you register for emergency calls | You |
| Device push tokens | A code that lets Apple or Google deliver calls and notifications to your device | Your device |
| Purchase records | What you bought, when, and the store transaction details. Card numbers never reach us | Apple, Google and RevenueCat |
| Support messages | What you send us when you ask for help | You |
| Technical logs | IP address, device type and the time of each request, recorded by our hosting providers when the app or website contacts our servers | Your device |
We do not collect card numbers, bank details or passwords to other services.
4. Why we use it, and our legal basis
Privacy laws in the UK and EU require a "legal basis" for each use. Here are ours.
| Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| To create your account, give you Numbers, connect calls, deliver messages, run your team inbox, apply your Plan and Credit, and give you support | Contract: we need it to provide the service you signed up for |
| To verify identity and business documents that a country requires for a Number | Legal obligation |
| To send your emergency address to emergency services and keep it registered | Legal obligation |
| To keep financial and ledger records for tax and accounting | Legal obligation |
| To prevent toll fraud and abuse, using controls such as spending velocity limits and country permissions, and to keep Salket secure | Legitimate interests: protecting you, us and the phone network from fraud |
| To send you push notifications | Consent, which you give through your device's notification permission |
You can withdraw consent at any time. For push notifications, turn them off in your device settings. If you turn off notifications, incoming calls may not ring.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not show ads.
We share personal information only with the companies that help us run Salket ("subprocessors"), and only for the purposes below.
| Company | What it does for Salket | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Twilio | Our carrier. Provides Numbers, carries calls and SMS (and WhatsApp messages once that feature is available), and handles regulatory document checks | United States and the countries where your calls and messages go |
| Neon | Our database | United States (Amazon Web Services, us-east-1) |
| Vercel | Hosts our website and API | United States |
| RevenueCat | Keeps records of in-app purchases | United States |
| Apple and Google | Take payment for in-app purchases and deliver push notifications | United States and worldwide |
| Meta | Operates WhatsApp. Once WhatsApp is available in Salket, it carries WhatsApp messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform | United States and worldwide |
Meta's own terms and privacy policy also apply when you use WhatsApp. Apple and Google handle payments under their own privacy policies.
Future AI receptionist. If we launch the AI receptionist and you turn it on, call audio and transcripts may be processed by Anthropic (AI processing) and Fly.io (the relay that connects calls to the AI). Neither receives any of your information today. We will update this policy before that happens.
Others we may share with:
- Your team. Owners, Admins and Members of an account can see the shared inbox, calls and records their role gives them access to.
- Regulators and emergency services. We send regulatory documents to Twilio and national regulators, and emergency addresses to emergency services, as the law requires.
- Legal requests. We may disclose information when the law requires it, for example under a valid court order. Where lawful, we will tell you first.
- A new owner. If Salket is sold or transferred, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it as this policy says.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and most of our providers store data there. If you are in the UK, the EU or another region with transfer rules, your information is transferred to the United States.
Where the law requires, we protect these transfers with the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for the UK, the International Data Transfer Addendum or Agreement (IDTA). You can ask for a copy at privacy@salket.com.
7. How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Account data | Until you delete your account |
| Team and membership data | Until you leave the team or delete your account |
| Call and message records | For the life of the account, unless you delete them sooner |
| Regulatory documents | As long as the relevant regulations require |
| Emergency address | While the Number it is registered for is on your account |
| Device push tokens | Until you sign out of that device or delete your account |
| Financial and ledger records, including purchase records | 7 years, for tax and accounting. We keep these even after you delete your account, and mark the account closed |
| Support messages | Until you delete your account |
| Backups | Deleted information rolls off our backups within 30 days |
See Delete your account for exactly what happens when you delete.
8. Security
We protect your information with:
- encryption in transit for everything sent between your device, our servers and our providers;
- encryption at rest, using AES-256-GCM, for the credentials of the carrier sub-account we create for your account;
- access controls that limit who can reach your data;
- row-level security in our database, so each user can reach only the records their account and role allow.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Our fraud controls work automatically. They may block calls or messages to high-risk destinations, or pause usage that spikes suddenly. If this affects you, contact support@salket.com and a person will review it.
10. Cookies and tracking
The salket.com website sets no non-essential cookies. It has no ads and no trackers. If we ever add privacy-friendly analytics, we will update this policy first.
11. Children
Salket is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, email privacy@salket.com and we will delete it.
12. Your rights
You can exercise your rights by email to privacy@salket.com. We will verify your identity before acting, usually by replying to the email address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
UK and EU (UK GDPR and GDPR). You have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong (rectification);
- have it deleted (erasure);
- restrict how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format (portability);
- object to our use of it, including where we rely on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before;
- complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the EU, it is the data protection authority where you live or work.

- know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and why;

- non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for using these rights.
In the last 12 months we collected the categories in section 3, for the purposes in section 4, and disclosed them to the service providers in section 5. We do not sell or share personal information, as those words are defined in California law. We use sensitive personal information, such as identity documents, only to meet legal requirements and provide the service. You can use an authorised agent to make a request; we will ask for proof of their authority.
Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. You can ask to access or correct your information. Your information is disclosed to providers in the United States, as set out in sections 5 and 6. If you are not satisfied with our response to a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Everyone else. Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. We will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
